Return Policy

Home Direct Flooring has a Return Guarantee so you can easily return or exchange your item for something new or refund your purchase within 30 days from the date of your purchase. No matter how big or small your project may be, we want to help you make it a great success.

If you have any questions about returns, please ask us prior to placing an order since many items are not returnable.

Please note that returns can be expensive. Review the products you are ordering to make sure they meet the correct specifications for your project.

If you are ordering flooring, please measure carefully to ensure that you order the proper quantity of each product. It is common to have a few cartons left over after a large project. Save the extra cartons in case you need to do a repair in the future. You can only return cartons of flooring products in quantities of 5 or more.

Returns must be requested within 30 days of you receiving your order.  All cartons must be factory sealed, unopened and undamaged. 

**All trim and accessories are non-returnable, non-refundable. The Home Direct Flooring Sales Team can recommend different trim pieces but cannot be held accountable for trim orders. We always recommend consulting with a contractor or installer before ordering trim.

A Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) Number will be provided to you. You must return the material within 14 days of receiving the RMA Number from us. The RMA Number must be enclosed with the shipment. You will have to arrange and pay a shipping company of your choosing to return the material to an address that we specify.

All returns are subject to a 30% restocking fee. You will also be charged our original shipping cost even if you were not charged shipping. Please contact your sales representative for details.

 

To Qualify for a Refund:

  • The product must be returned in the same condition as when it arrived to you. Your request for this refund must be placed within 30 days of the original delivery date of your order. Requests can be made either toll free at 614-705-2261or sales@homedirectflooring.com
  • The product cannot be returned if it has already been installed and/or removed. All cartons must be factory sealed, unopened, undamaged, and in the same “as new” and re-sellable condition as they were when they arrived at your home or job site. 
  • Contact us to retrieve an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number and return address. Contact the shipping company of your choice to schedule pick up and shipping. You are responsible for all return shipping costs.
  • All items must be returned with their assigned RMA number included on the return shipping labels.

After we have received your product, we will complete a quality inspection. Refunds are issued 3-7 business days after the product has been received by the warehouse in good, resalable condition.

 

**This policy does not apply to all custom made, made to order or special-order products, including clearance products, overstock, discontinued items, underlayment, and all sundries which include: flooring adhesives, trims and moldings unless the product is defective. The inherent characteristics of flooring allow for some expansion and contraction, and color shades may slightly vary. Due to this, we cannot accept returns for color and thickness variations, unless the flooring is off more than 1 mm in thickness or if colors are substantially different. Some manufacturers have a mandatory minimum quantity for returns and/or do not waive restocking fees for their product/orders. Please contact us to see if your product/order qualifies for a return.** 

Returns will incur a 30% non-negotiable restocking fee. All unapproved or returns missing an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number may be refused upon delivery, resulting in you incurring additional fees and return shipping costs. 

Cancellation & Exchange Options

We make it our goal at Home Direct Flooring to provide an easy shopping experience and quick shipping turn around times. We will do everything we can to help you make any changes to your order. To provide you the best shopping experience, we try to ship many of our floor products the same or next business day, which means if your order is in production, started the shipping process, or has shipped, we may not be able to make the desired change without additional fees.
